Krista Ruhe has more than 10 years experience in employee engagement, reputation management, executive communications, and corporate positioning counsel. Her current employee engagement clients include GE Healthcare, Stony Brook University, Shearman & Sterling LLP and Guardian.
Krista joined Edelman from Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, where she worked with her clients to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. With Novartis USP, she helped engage and empower employees to be company and industry advocates by educating them on issues impacting their business and on the contributions the Company makes to patients and communities. She also worked with Bristol-Myers Squib Oncology to overhaul their employee and executive communications program in order to achieve employee buy-in of strategy and management changes.
Her other client assignments have included Novartis OTC, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, Booz Allen Hamilton, Lincoln Financial, ACE Limited, FM Global, National Financial Partners, TD Waterhouse, Rabobank, and Katzenbach Partners LLP.
Prior to joining Ogilvy PR, Krista held similar positions at Makovsky & Company and Gavin Anderson & Company. While at Gavin Anderson & Company, she was a member of the Omnicom “Hip-Hop” group, which was comprised of young leaders within the Omnicom network. Krista began her career at Smith Barney/Citigroup where she was a domestic equity trader. Prior to trading, she was an analyst in the capital markets training program where she gained experience in a variety of fixed income, derivative and equity products and services. While at Smith Barney, she earned her Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
Krista received the 2004 Public Relations Society of America Silver Anvil and the NY/IABC Award from Communications Excellence for the National Financial Partners IPO communications program. In 2003 she was a finalist for the Gold Saber for a philanthropic program on behalf of ACE Limited. In 2005 and 2006 she received internal agency professional achievement awards for “Best Employee Communications Program” and “Best 360 Degree Program.”
Krista is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College, where she was a Dean’s list student and member of the Black Pyramid Senior Honor Society. After graduating from F&M, Ms. Ruhe attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art on scholarship.
